About
Hero Software provides backend software for tradespeople across Germany. The company scaled rapidly from 80 to over 200 employees—but notably, much of that growth was powered by efficiency gains rather than new hires. Based in Hanover, Hero Software has made AI adoption a core conviction across almost every department.

Challenge
The team recognized a clear reality: companies that fail to adopt AI will fall behind. As one leader put it: "If you as a company are not able to adopt to use the means of AI, then you will go bankrupt."
But rolling out new technology across an entire company is never easy. Employees often feel resistance, worry, or uncertainty when confronted with new tools. The challenge was to create a safe space for exploration while driving rapid, company-wide adoption.
Solution
Hero Software partnered with Langdock and launched a dedicated AI Week with an in-person hackathon at their Hanover headquarters. The event brought all teams together to explore, test, and build with AI—lowering barriers and reducing resistance through hands-on experience.
Key elements of the rollout included:
- Workshops to get everyone up to speed on AI fundamentals
- Hackathon teams using the Langdock API to build real solutions
- The Hero AI Academy—a gamified learning experience where employees earn points by mastering prompting, building assistants, and integrating knowledge bases in Langdock
"It's our obligation to bring AI to our colleagues. In 5 years, you're not going to get any job if you can't prove you're capable of using it."
Result
What surprised leadership most was the speed of adoption. Typically, getting an entire company excited about a new tool takes considerable time—but with Langdock, adaptation happened remarkably fast.
Today, teams across Hero Software are using AI intuitively to make themselves more efficient. The curiosity is there, the tools are accessible, and the results speak for themselves.
