About

With 15 years of experience in e-commerce, the company faces the challenge of staying competitive against newcomers in the market. To remain relevant, AI was defined as a strategic priority—with the goal of making processes more efficient and engaging the entire workforce.

Challenge

The introduction of AI brought initial frustration: the expectation that AI would immediately deliver solutions without a solid data foundation and preparation proved unrealistic. At the same time, there were concerns about compliance, corporate governance, and the use of multiple tools without a clear overview of which data was being used where.

There was also a human element: not all employees were immediately excited about change—many felt insecure about how their jobs might evolve.

Solution

The company chose to partner with Langdock to provide a central, easy-to-use platform. This solution addressed all compliance and governance requirements, rather than relying on a multitude of tools where no one keeps track.

To drive adoption, a multiplier model was introduced: each specialized team nominated one person to focus intensively on AI, collect use cases from their team, and serve as the go-to contact for questions. These "AI Champions" received extensive enablement opportunities.

A highlight was the introduction of an AI Week: all employees—regardless of team, role, or hierarchy—set aside their operational tasks and work together exclusively on AI topics. Input sessions from experts and tool providers like Langdock round out the program.

Result

The initiative led to a cultural shift: the organization is growing together and helping each other with how to use AI—an effect that developed organically.
